What made you happy today?
Went for a bike ride over to North Sydney for a snitty and a couple of pints at the Blues Point Hotel.

On the way home we came across Wendy Whitely’s Secret Garden.
Had heard about it but never had the time to go and find it.

Ended up having a cracking day

Now it’s time to walk Stan and then a gin and tonic is in order

Isn't the Secret Garden an awesome spot !!
Sue organised a picnic lunch there with the In-laws last Summer.
I was really reluctant to go given the geographical location and proximity to civilisation......I figured it'd be another overcrowded rat race destination.
Couldn't have been further from the truth......it's one of those special little finds that really. is worth the effort to get to.
Cheers,
Mark

Yes, what a fabulous place community gardeners can achieve, following Wendy's original theme. We take the train to Milson's Point then walk down and out. But you rode peddlies? Jeeez.

Started out bad day not happy day.

So we drove up to Adelaide on Sunday for me heart Transoesophageal  Echocardiogram. Camera with ultrasound probe down the throat.
Arrived at the hospital before 8 am as requested, placed on a bed in the day surgery area. All dressed up and needle bung placed in arm all before 9am, then laid there waiting till 2.30. The sister there rang cardiology section and said hey there u better get this bloke up there as we shut here at 4.30 and no one will be here for his 4 to 5 hour recovery. So someone came and got me from there took me to cardio section on 6th floor. Oxygen lead on and out came the pugs to wire me up and the doc walks in and said no surgery today, we’ve ran out of time due to an emergency. He said you will have 2 procedures done now instead of 1, I said I come back tomoz then, he said no effing way, you get out of that bed and we lose it and you can just go back home and wait till another time.
So I’m staying in overnight, Cathy had to go back to hotel and book an extra night.
He asks due you understand the procedures taking place, I said yep doctor google filled me in. Next morning Tuesday lying around waiting and 10.15 time to head to surgery floor, then I get attacked by about 6 peoples ready to go ahead. Then the doc says we will see how you are with the first procedure and if all ok wild do the second. In other words he said if leaking valves or bad clots won’t do the shock treatment but prolly fit a pacemaker. Ok I said and signed paperwork etc. had numbing fluid sprayed down throat and told to swallow and they all had a laugh and said tasted good ey. No it doesn’t.
Of to sleep they put me and the next minute I’m seeing bright lights everywhere, bright as can be. I was looking for the stairs but none there so I knew I’m still here.
First thing they said was one big jolt of spark and you heart was back to normal rhythm, I said thank goodness both were done. 5hours later I’m out. That part made me Happy. Wednesday we headed home ad back to doing as before.
Cheers Brian and Cathy
