What made you happy today?
Wasted an hour and a half of my time last week, and $100, to go a GP for a full medical, to retain my Heavy Vehicle Licence. An ACT “Initiative”, for all licence holders of 8 tonne or more, to fill out a 3 page questionnaire, have a GP to test sight, movement, heart, blood pressure, hearing, balance and a urine test.

Having passed that one, I can now legally still drive Heavy Vehicles……….

Today, I had to do the ACT Rural Fire Service, annual fitness test.

Another ACT “Initiative”. So after passing that one, I can now legally be in a Rural Fire Service vehicle for this season.

No other state or Territory requires either of these tests.  Confused

Happy that I passed all the requirements………………….Again. Rolleyes

congratulations on both counts Grant

I opted to downgrade my licence to Light Rigid (up to 8 tonne) ...that should be enough for any motorhome I'm likely to drive

Waking up and celebrating 43 years of marriage to my wonderful wife.......
It's not always been easy ........but always worth the effort to smoothen out the occasional bumps.
Lovely dinner at a local place overlooking the surf, a cocktail or two, a bottle of wine ...... Heart

Life is good.

Congratulations to an amazing couple!  Heart
43 years is definitely worth a celebration.

Hi Cruisers,
Youngest daughter of this blended famaily went on a holiday with her 3 yr boyfriend that she just moved in with after he bought a house. She was in her own owned 1 bedroom city apartment. So a combined income anyway.......
They went on a North coast holiday. Byron Bay, Yamba & then back in via inland. Tamworth, Dubbo, Mudgee etc.
Bit of a preamble but came over this arvo on the pretence that they had a bottle of wine for me.
Well, they did have a wine present but a further disclosure & he's a romantic Big Grin .
THEY'RE ENGAGED Heart . Life can be so special Wink .
Spring wedding next year.
Cheers

Completed the micro-switch modification for the 12V washer motor.....AND got rid of that clown nose, push button switch on the dash that came with the kit  Tongue
Now my bus has stock wiper controls, a 12V washer pump that is activated as normal, albeit triggering a relay that powers the washer pump and 3 jet washer nozzles !
I chose to wire the relay micro-switch as a negative/ground trigger, rather than the usual power trigger...... Wink
Very happy as I've not dabbled with 12V Elektrikery before....
I'll update my Washer Thread as soon as I re-size the pics.
Cheers,
Mark

Now why doesn’t that surprise me at all?  Rolleyes

Job well done……. Shy

Don’t throw away that “clown nose push button switch” on the dash - you can use it to trigger some kickass dual air horns, in the next aftermarket upgrade project.  Tongue

Last Thursday we took the grandkids into Darling Harbour and played “Poohsticks” in the water park there.
Such simple fun and may help here in later life to become a champion.

For those that never had the joys of playing Poohsticks as a kid……

Wine bottle tops come in handy….

Love it !
There’s a timber bridge over a local, tidal creek where we played Pooh Sticks with our boys as they were growing up.
Even at 32 and 30, when they come to visit and we walk to the beach, they’ll drop a twig in each and wait for the first one to be revealed  Big Grin
It’s the simple things that create lifelong memories.
Thanks for the reminder….. Cool

Another great day on the water sailing on my mate's MG14, several spinnaker rides and a couple of beers afterward.
