mmmmm…….badly weathered fibreglass would be as problematic as rust in my opinion.
I’ve seen what appeared to be a great boat, riddled with osmosis, rendering it a total write off as far as repairing was concerned……the ‘glass looked good but a fairly good poke with a finger resulted in a spongy feeling……not good.

Fair call……. Can’t weld in solid repair panels, like you can with a metal body.
