Back home and (sort of) unpacked after another wonderful Lani’s/Old Bar trip…..
Unfortunately we couldn’t get Wendy and Fizal to the Club for dinner, or even a celebratory/thank you/farewell beverage…..the new owners of Lani’s had made last minute requests for an inventory of all Park plant and equipment ……poor buggers we’re head down, bum up the entire time we were there.
We did manage a few nice chats and catch-ups in between their Shed sorting….
Both were touched that many KCA members wished them the best for their retirement. Still no concrete date for when they leave but it is imminent…..
There are big changes scheduled for the Park……those that normally camp on grassed, powered site’s adjacent to the main Beach access track may be majorly affected…..the new owners are considering putting a heap of cabins on those sites, so if you’ve been told that your booking of the October Long Weekend cannot be taken/confirmed at this stage, please go easy of W & F…….this is not their doing.
They have copped a heap of abuse from people who will not listen and understand that these decisions are NOT of their doing.
Please do not shoot the messenger, as the saying goes…………
Had a great time catching up with Scott and Melissa, our two son’s and their partners.
Of course, Melissa won a meat tray at the Club….
One day her luck will rub off on me………maybe !
Surf was good, on occasion, fires were great and the company was awesome ….
Looking forward to the Old Bar Beach Festival, Long Weekend in October.
