in Hawaii. Big island and now O’ahu.
We were”supposed” to do a star gazing trip but was clouded out.
Did a fantastic bird explore and a volcano explore.
Landed on Waikiki and a bloke had a telescope down at the pool deck.
The sky was “OK” but not many stars.
This surprised me as there isn’t “that” much light pollution.
Told the bloke I expected to see heaps more.
Anyway, what has blown me away is the Northern Hemisphere doesn’t see the Magellanic Cloud.
So when you sit out bush, on a clear night with no moon, and you see that cloud of stars………they don’t get to see that up north
