Love our Maggies too.... Heart

I fear we have lost the Patriarch of our Magpie Clan.
"Craw" as he was affectionately known (due to a withered foot) has raised at least 4 generations of Maggies .
He regularly brought the babies down into our yard to forage for worms etc.
A healthy population of both male and female birds are his legacy and visit us every day.
Craw has not been seen for a few months now and I just hope that his demise was natural.
(....now soaring high over the trees and warbling like only a happy Maggie can.....)
Cheers,
Mark

We have so many of these here, particularly on the citrus trees. Gracie tells me they are a Leaf Curling Spider.

Just on 1 year after the 2022 Hunter Flood. Water is still there. For comparison it was originally covering everything up to that tree line at the back. The island is the spoil from the dam (or rather sump) constructed by the previous owner. You can't see it. It's under water!
