....not good,
.....so no compression in No.3 cylinder , or No.3 exhaust valve not operating properly/ dropped valve seat...? Sorry to hear that it wasn't an easy fix.

Been a few days, needed some time to reset I think!
Garry Moody in Bellingen was just awesome, very happy to have had him on the case, and happy to have had the opportunity to have met him. Sadly he’s closing up shop in a few months time though. He adjusted the tappets and managed to get it to 10% on the compression tester, but had to adjust a fair way to get that, so looks like a dropped valve seat. We’re only on mid-level NRMA and far from home so I wasn’t really optimistic, but they have come really good (I will never complain about their annual premium rise again!) and towed the car back to Sydney whilst we continued on our trip since we had a commitment we had to make further up the coast. Very, very happy GYC is back close to home!

Thanks for the update…..
Looks like some tlc required. Loss of compression usually means shot rings….. Dropped valve seat usually means replacement heads. Do it once, do it well…..it’s going to sting financially. Buy once, cry once.

And we’re back! Finally got to drive GYC home again today after a full engine rebuild back to stock.
Was a slow, sensible drive back along the M2 but boy did it feel good. The sun even shone a little.
