Just when you get settled in, along comes a bigger bus.... Big Grin
We took Karsha for probably her last camp on the weekend

We went to Bielany Campground in Upper Colo River Rd, Wheeny Creek.
Love the name.
Wish i could reply to "where do you live?".................."I live in Wheeny Creek"

Nice spot. Apparently gets stoopid crowded in summer and long weekends, but only 2 other groups on the weekend.
Yeah - a bit of rain on Saturday arvo, but the stars came out at night, and we had a cracking fire and a really good stash of red wine.

It is only 20kms north of Windsor so really close for a quick get away in wintertime.

Our other friends have dogs as well and they all get along.
But we had to carry Karsha everywhere. She is Staffy / Alsatian cross and the Alsatian in her is causing havoc with her hips.
Still - she had a great time by the fire, just sitting there (well she couldnt go anywhere) being with us.

Might try and squeeze one more in if the next new moon is a clear night

more pics
Looks awesome Barry ...and lovely for Karsha too.
One of our all time favourites...

.....and more recently at Nundle SE of Tamworth.
Great spot, great amenities, (Sue loves her hot showers.... Big Grin ),running stream behind our site that flows into the Peel River, fires allowed & dog friendly.

Same site....joined by Melissa & Scott enroute to Dubbo, earlier this year....

Fire, guitar (played well...), mates, kombis and Coopers.
Doesn't get much better than this....

Now that's a worthy view from the bedroom - very nice...
Why I love national parks. The local residents are sooooo friendly. This is from the Watagans, only 30 minutes from home. Waterfalls for summer swimming. Sorry, no dogs.

Here is another happy snap of some happy campers. This time it's the Warrumbungles NP.
This is back in 1985 up at Tamworth and my dad holding my son, its not so much a great campground but a great memory, we were racing at the NSW Karting Titles,
