Perfect weather.
I really needed some down time.
Didn’t cook - the pub was a 1 minute walk away

It was the most crowded I have seen it though.
To be suspected I suppose - reckon a lot of Victorians took the extra day for a 4 day break.

At least they were all “grey nomads”
In bed by 9:00 and up at 9:00
We were the only tent.

Better than a camp full of euro trash back packers playing doff doff till 4:00 am

Night skies were fantastic.
A glass or 2 of red sitting around the fire counting satellites and falling stars.

Pub was packed during the day.
So many motor bikes
They should have made a good taking that weekend

Love your interpretation of the euro backpackers.
Hahaha .
So much serenity when you are around water. To just sit there and watch nature do it's thing is the way to go I reckon.

Yep, 4 day weekend for most in Victoria... and most caravan parks insisted on a 4 day stay ... down along the south coast of Vic they were asking $99 per night .. we just changed direction and got a creekside spot in Yackandandah

the creek in the caravan park

Indigo Falls nearby

Yak. is a great spot…..
As a family, we always had a stop there on our way to Falls Creek…..our annual ski trip.

Hi all, a quick weekend break in Yamba, just 2 nights but it is close to Coffs so an easy trip. But was it hot! still, beach and river close to town, Wobbly Chook bar around the corner, good pizza, the Calypso Caravan Park is ideal. Not the flashest place but super conveinient.
And the kombi ran beautifully!

Just had 2 nights at East Lynne.
If you know where Pebbly Beach is, instead of turning left, you turn right and we headed 5 km up a dirt road.
A primitive Hipcamp that gave us peace and quiet.
10-15 minute drive to depot beach.
Really didn’t do much.
Took our time going down.
Stopped for a beer in Berry and had a look around.
The place is owned by a local aboriginal elder.
If you drive into Batemans Bay, the big mural on the left, Loretta is on the left of the 3 faces.

Will certainly be going back, when it is quieter in the towns.
They were packed up

Lots of wild life but only got a pic of a small goanna

Local servo had some nice toys

Oh - and the servo with the motor bikes does the best pies.

Their apple and their berry pies are superb.

Just spent 4 nights at Seal Rocks caravan park - we go there every year for a memorial weekend with families and this is our tenth year. Beautiful spot but gee it gets crowded and its not cheap! We get the same sites each year as a group and the grounds had not recovered from whoever has camped there for the school holidays - the rain and storms we had from the Wednesday night meant we had a river running under the kombi and through the gazebo. Josie held up well and its the first real trip since we have ironed out her issues - Scott drove her up on Wednesday towing the trailer and then I arrived after work that evening. We are now confident she will be able to make the Merimbula trip for Bus Stop.
