when I was an apprentice I serviced MWS&DB vehicles there for the snowy engineers, (herald by Sydney Water now)
Interesting hydro area now about to be expanded by Origin (Fitzroy Falls expanded hydro project)
Wombats and kangaroos everywhere. No where near town.

Always awesome to be able show international visitors the wildlife, in their habitat.

So many have expectations of kangaroos in everyone’s front yard, and are disappointed when the only ones they see on their Oz visit, are roadkill along the highways.

It is indeed Chris…..one of my favourite stretches of coast up that way.
Can get busy during the holidays, long weekends etc. ……but during the week it can be magic.
Cheers,
Mark

Just had 2 nights at Ginjellic.
Perfect weather.
I really needed some down time.
Didn’t cook - the pub was a 1 minute walk away

It was the most crowded I have seen it though.
To be suspected I suppose - reckon a lot of Victorians took the extra day for a 4 day break.

At least they were all “grey nomads”
In bed by 9:00 and up at 9:00
We were the only tent.

Better than a camp full of euro trash back packers playing doff doff till 4:00 am

Night skies were fantastic.
A glass or 2 of red sitting around the fire counting satellites and falling stars.

Pub was packed during the day.
So many motor bikes
They should have made a good taking that weekend
