Slightly off topic, but...

Legend has it that when "Vic 1" was released in 1932, there was heated argument between the Police Commissioner, the Premier and the Governor about who should have it. To solve the problem the plates were not issued to any of them and were instead locked in a vault at the Motor Registration Board.

The 'Vic 1' number plate, now owned by Peter Bartels is on his Mercedes AMG E63.
The plate is worth up to $10 million.
