After your committment what do you think will happen to price for others?
It's FULL. Now we set the price for the remaining sites. Supply & Demand curves run by Oligopilies/Monopilies.
See the trouble debstar had with Merimbula pricing!
The buy up of coastal parks by Ingenia or NRMA/Stiks will lead to another monopoly situation like Woolies/Coles.
Happy I free camp away from the coast but I have booked for Old Bar next year with Club Old Bar.
Cheers
I don’t agree. Since the Covid travel lockdowns, many places suffered badly, and have tried to recoup funds to stay alive.
Woolies / Coles increased their profits in the same time.
Any accommodation establishment, everywhere will increase their price for peak periods or special events - even Club Old Bar Motel rates are 25 - 30% higher, on the October Long Weekend.
Look at booking a few nights in Melbourne, walking distance to Albert Park, at a place that usually charges $150 per night, yet come Aus Grand Prix weekend, and you’ll pay $800 per night, with a minimum 5 night stay!
So we either pay the asking price, when announced, or just stay home and drool at the fun others are having.
Easy choice…….
