This is what (I believe) Steve uses in his kits.
Says 3.5 psi - which is right for Webers and Dells.

just spoke with Steve and he puts those kits on stock carbed kombis

Thanks Barry, yes Carter was what I was thinking of. They are very similar to the pierburg ones. I doubt you are going to have problems with either and if 3 psi is enough for webers you aren’t going to need any more for standard solex carbs. The problems start when you go over and start flooding when the needle valves give out.

I use Carter pumps, on most of my cars never had any problems. I still carry a spare one of them just in case and I carry spares to be able to change over to a mechanical pump as well.
