Tyre Pressure Info.

Courtesy Schmoburger:

Here guys, have a read of this...

http://baywindowmafia.googlepages.com/baytyrepressures

If you are running non-LT tyres, my recommendation would be 30 front and 37-40 at the rear as per the placard.

If running LT's, I'd jump the front up to 34psi and run the rears at the maximum of 44psi specified on the placard...
Most true LT tyres... ie reinforced sidewalls and such blah blah... have a maximum pressure rating of at least 50 psi so 44 should not do them any harm.
Never exceed the pressure rating stamped on the side of the tyre...

Having differential tyre pressure is particularly important to ensure safe handling characteristics on any rear engined vehicle... whether it be a Beetle, Fiat 126, Kombi, Corvair, or Porsche 911.
