Yeah....Nah. The lithium battery will burn it down before then  Wink . A fire always a Kombi feature so it goes with the marque Tongue .

Mark...how do you get the 'heads up' on getting your van out there? Well done.
Cheers

When we were at the Cronulla Surf Masters the PR Communications Manager for Volkswagen Group Australia made contact with us as Tom Baker from Chasing Cars was after a T2 to video with the ID Buzz.

Cost of buying one would put a lot of people off. Who’s got a spare $100,000 these days and trying to buy a house worth around the $1,000,000 mark.

Well done Mark!

I saw a few ID Buzz on the road in the UK and we visited a Costco in Birmingham that had one at the front door on display - they have a scheme where members get a discount on new cars and you could save 4K (that was pounds so it is 8K AU). If I was ever going to get an EV, it would be one of those but I doubt I will ever need one.

Actually, you can count on one hand the number of EV fires in Australia caused by the battery and/or high voltage circuit.

"From 2010 to June 2023, EV FireSafe recorded 393 verified passenger EV battery fires across the world, of which only four were in Australia. One was linked to arson and the other three vehicles were parked in structures that burned down.

As for the two fires in September 2023, one was caused by a damaged EV battery that had been removed from the vehicle. The other vehicle that caught fire also had a damaged battery, having been pierced by a large piece of road debris after the vehicle was struck at high speed by the tailshaft of a truck."

Probably as much as daily fires in garbage trucks from the batteries in Vapes!
