Changing a Type 4 Oil Cooler
#11
For what it’s worth…..I use 20w50 oil and run an additional, thermo switched external cooler.
I tow a trailer quite often….it’ll be at Old Bar….and temps rarely, if ever get over 95 C in summer.
My bus is a stock 2ltr, running stock dual Solex carbs…….nothing fancy.
Cheers,
Mark
It’s not oil, it’s sweat from all the horsepower !

Can I take a step back and ask "how do you know it is hot"

How are you neasuring the temperature.
At 130* C it should "smell hot" - does it?
