Bilstein shocks
#1
I just put a set of Bilstein shocks on my Bay that I picked from Type 2 Detectives in the UK. I can’t believe the difference that they have made to the driving and handling of my bus. So much better around corners, over uneven road surface as well as stability in crosswinds. They were easy to replace and have been one of the best upgrades that I have done.
My bus is standard height, however they can sell various heights.

Wow. This is kinda like being a “Ford” guy, or a “Holden”guy…………..

We have a developing “Bilstein” or “Koni” type owners.

I’ll fess up - I’m a “Koni Reds” fan.  Rolleyes

OK. Wasn’t aware of that fact…  Confused

I assume you mean “reds” for the T2, which I’ve never shopped for?

I wish I had have done the upgrade years ago. For me, it’s night or day difference. Regardless of Koni or Bilstein, I strongly feel that if the budget allows ( and/or partner is asleep or shopping when the goods arrive) that this is an essential upgrade.

100% agree. It’s a massive improvement to handling, and infact, safety.

I've been using Bilsteins since 1972.

Although I have Red Konis on my '56 Beetle.
