RIP Jack Charles
#1
It’s was with great sorrow that I just read Jack Charles has passed away

Wonderfully described by his family - “elder, actor, musician, potter, actor, mentor, household name and a voice loved by all”

He had such a troubled life at times, but turned it to good.
Along with Archie Roach, teaching troubled youth the errors of their ways.
To have the indignity of having to prove he was indigenous to claim compensation for being part of the stolen generation

May you finally Rest In Peace Jack

A truly remarkable man…..and certainly walked the walk not just the talk.
I watched a great Australian Story episode featuring Uncle Jack, man he went through the wringer in his life……
Now at peace.
Cheers,
Mark

Yes - he was on an SBS, “who do you think you are”

Truly heart breaking
Then he discovered who his hater was.
I have no idea the grief some people have gone through.

…..could be that was the program I watched…..
Certainly a lesson on being nonjudgmental of folk until the entire circumstances are known.
I know that my horns have retracted in direct ratio to my time above ground……
Cheers,
