Road Trip!!
#1
We are in Tasmania (again)
But this time we drove and across on the ferry.
Did it once as a kid.
Meeting up with friends and heading to Freycinet.
Decided to drive rather than hire a car and have it sit for a week.
More room in the T3 as well.

First night Rutherglen.
Loaded up with Durif

Pretty sure this is canola?
Looks amazing

And I found Kingswood country

I believe you will be leaving from Geelong then.

It’s a great trip.
What are you doing in Tassie - it’s an absolute blast

Hey Barry,
Yes, out of Geelong for the Spirit of Tassie, then straight down to Port Arthur before doing the 3 Capes Walk, then a slow cruise up the east coast for 10 days then back home.  Really looking forward to it.

Ditto Barry’s post…..Tassie is awesome, with so much to see  Big Grin
East coast is stunning ! You’ll see enough in your time, to plan for a return trip….. Cool
Cole’s Bay, Freycinet, Bay of Fires etc. are beautiful. So many cool places to duck into for lunch or dinner.
…..and every town has its own take on the Scallop Pie  Cool
….not to mention the distilleries and cellar doors.
I’m jealous! Tongue
I don’t need to say enjoy your trip…..I know you will……. Smile
Cheers,
Mark

I think we were one of the last to leave from Port Melbourne

3 Capes is on our bucket list.

My tip is to go the back road through Mole Creek / Great Lakes and miss the midland highway.
Ross is the only high point and it’s full of road works

Must do Mona as well.
