Tocal 2022
#1
Organised by Coast To Hunter VeeDubbers...

Tocal Homestead then John Tucker Park in Paterson. Since Tocal and Paterson are not far from home we didn't join up for the cruise from Glendale!

Rolling into the lay by where we were waiting...

Parked in the wrong place at Tocal...

Moved to the correct place...

And on to Paterson...

I think that was the day I went on the Maitland to Dungog Picnic Train for a friend's birthday. Looks like it was a really nice run. If only these non-kombi related things wouldn't keep getting in the way!  Big Grin

Get your priorities right ;-)! Kombis first.

Just heard about this picnic train journey & we'll put in the 'to do' list. It also does Scone !

Sounds like a great day out Smile .

Cheers

It was really good. That's coming from a guy that had a train set that half filled my bedroom when I was 12. My favorite locomotives were the really big older style steam engines. Like The Flying Scotsman. So getting up real close to a somewhat decent size loco whilst it was operating was pretty cool for me. And the steak and beer at the pub at Dungog was brilliant too. A real shame all the shops were shut and we couldn't walk in and out of 30 shops looking at non-VW and non steam engine stuff....  Wink

Here you go ©1989. It rained but it didn't matter. Rail Transport Museum, Thirlmere.

And to add a kombi

And to add to the Tocal adventure. This is my new best friend "Fen" who I met at Tocal.
