Moving Old Threads Over
#1
After figuring Marks (Oldman) trick out last night I think he's on a winner.
Here's how I've figured it anyway...

Left click on your page
Select Print
Chose Destination - Save as PDF
Save File based on thread name with page number added
Post PDF in New Thread  on New Site.

Is that how you did it Mark?

Nah.....
I have the two KC Sites open on a desktop and copy/paste between them.
I need to duplicate the Thread title on this site and then the cc'd content is pasted in and posted.

Your system is working well too ! Cool
Cheers,
Mark

I have tried Marks method of copy and paste but for the life of me I cant do it, the text wont transfer across only the photos and then only if its 10 or less, thats easy to delete pics, and where the text is I only get a line, I even tried to edit the post but again the text wont come across, any ideas, cheers Greg

....You may find the test is actually there, just really, really small.
With all my copied Threads/posts I highlight the "dots" and increase the Font size to 4.
I do this by clicking at the top of the post and wiping down, selecting the entire post, then select the Font size tab in the format bar (it looks like a capital A with a red arrow next to it),
choose "4", and hey presto , the text appears.
Cheers,
Mark

Create and name a new Thread,
Drag and drop the saved PDF file into the new Thread text field, then "Post Reply"

This is how Adrian / Mordred is copying stuff across.
Just means a reader needs to click on the PDF file to open and read it.

Take a look at the Fuel Systems and Electrics Section in the Bay Tech Clinic.
You'll see what the result is....."Numbers on Switches & Relays DIN "
Cheers,

Yes, that is the way I am doing it, but that particular post is one I just made up using some info I found.

The only issue I have found is if you want to pdf a big thread, and especially with photos in it, you make the page by printing but you have to watch the resulting size of the file.  if it is over 2048kB it wont allow you to post it.

So you will have to print it by customising, and selecting a number of pages. Depending on the amount and size of the photos you might have to do 1 page per file.
