Bus Stop Travel Route
#1
What’s peoples travel plan for getting to “The Stop”?

It’s ~ 1,350kms from Sydney at best and ~ 2,000s for Brisbane.
That is 2 solid days for Sydney and 3 from Brisbane.

I’m considering going up and over through Broken Hill.
Maybe leave on the weekend before and take a few days.
Going home we might just do a run to Melbourne to visit our son and then home in a day

I did Fremantle to Valla last year via broken hill and personally a far better route than the hay plain which I had done previously. Sydney to BH is s long day but possible, I’ve stopped in Wilcannia previously at thd caravan park just east of town was okay.

Safe travels all

Just a shout out to those of you who might be considering travelling via Wagga or Griffith. Please consider travelling via, or even overnighting in, my little town of Cootamundra. We always need visitors and would proudly welcome you with country hospitality.
Cheers and see you Strathalbyn (if not sooner Smile )

Nyngan Riverside Caravan Park has always been a good stop for us. I think they're back operational after the floods. Cobar has a good Caravan park as well and is an easier days drive to the Hill. Also try the pies from the Cobar Bakery!
