What appliances do you carry/use in your kombi….?
#1
As the title suggests, what do you use to prepare your meals when on the road ?
We travel with a fire pit, cast iron plate and camp oven.
It’s awesome in places that allow fires but that’s not realistic, all the time.
The kombi has an internal two burner and grill gas stove that we can use but rarely do.
It comes in handy if the weather is really 5hitty and we’re all closed up but thankfully that’s pretty rarely.
Our go to, when on a powered site, is a small electric frypan.
It’s awesome and incredibly versatile……from basic frying, toasting bread etc. to making risotto, fajitas etc.. There’s not much that Sue can’t cook on it and it’s permanently onboard.
For coffee , I use an IZ Presso manual grinder for the beans and a ROK manual coffee press to pull the shots. A small electric kettle and a milk heater/frothier (electric) provides the necessary froth for Sue

……and a three way Electrolux fridge covers all bases, partnered with a Dometic 55l esky for fluids  Big Grin
For many years of kombi travels, we’ve tweaked what we carry and reckon we have it pretty well sorted out….

What do you use ?
Cheers,
Mark
It’s not oil, it’s sweat from all the horsepower !
