New member with new 76 Kombi camper

Hi gang,

Just joined up, so thanks.
Im in WA and just got myself a 76 Kombi from Melbourne.
Its on its way with CEVA next week, but wont get here for 30 business days.
Gives me time to gather some parts. Its a pretty original Kombi with original camper interior.
Has a full length pop top with the fiberglass built in luggage carrier.
Previous owner sent me pics of bus before respray. Very rust free and dent free body.

Has had a engine and clutch rebuild with reciepts in its life. Its a 2lt twin carb model.
Fridge still works. Its behind passenger seat and is the Electrolux RM210.
Still has rocknrolla bed and all original cabinets.

If anyone has any info on original builder of this bus, please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

I dont have a pic of the fridge cupboard. its behind the passenger seat and had a Electrolux RM210.
Here is a pic of the layout from the side door.
The roof lining needs a good clean and the cupboards need some cleaning and polish, but overall im happy with the condition for 47 years old. I may need some light covers and other bits and pieces. Not sure what the original lino is like under the black rubber floor mat.

Thanks for the welcome Barry and Grantus.
I had an orange Kombi back in the 80’s that I went around Australia in with my girlfriend.
Wanted another camper as I’m near retirement age now.
Was looking to see if anyone can identify my new campers build based on the pics.
I can’t find any pics online of another Kombi with the full length pop top that includes luggage rack, but is really slimline. Sunliners have a very similar, but more chunky pop top.

Cheers,

I thought it could be a swagman, but there are differences. Swagman pop photo from above has luggage section exposed to main roof and uses slats. Mine from above is solid.
I do have a bunch of literature included with the vehicle, so when it arrives I may be able to find something.
