I seem to have developed a leak in the automatic transmission (great - perfect timing)
Looks like it is where the dipstick joins the pan.
The nut there seems tight.
Any thoughts as to what may be causing it?
It there a seal there that gives way?
The pan underneath?

By the Bentley book No#12 is an O ring on the end of the oil tube that goes into the gearbox. Is there a aluminium crush washer under the nut?

Think that is more the T2 auto.
This is mine - looks like it is leaking at the red circle.
Could be the sump gasket?

An old auto van I had was a pain in the ass with the pan gasket that kept leaking.
My mechanic at the time replaced it twice and it still leaked.
They really need to have no oil in them and be fitted when the gearbox is out to have a chance of it sealing. When they are sealed right, they seem to stay sealed.

This has been dry as for 10 years
I have some degreaser that will go on tonight.
Just a pain in the bum at the moment.
Someone backed into me the other day so it is booked into a panel beater in a week or so.
I’m away for 4 days this weekend
No garage to work in.
