Trying to figure out what this metal tab on the rear bumpers function is.
Been on my Kombi forever I think... any ideas?
Cheers

….thought about lights ……but it’d obscure the tail lights…..a tall antenna would be minimal impact…?

The tab placed so close to the body doesn't really fit with mounting lights or an aerial I think, the mystery continues....

A holder for one of those classic metal “NRMA” or “AA” type badges, mounted on a bracket, to avoid a hole in the bumper?

Could it be something to do with attaching an annexe to the side and having something to secure it to? Definitely put there by a previous owner and not factory.

Tried contacting the previous owner but no luck as yet... I'm thinking annex attachment point is a good probability Melissa - although it is still pretty hard up against the body for feeding something through.
Hmmm, badge mounting plate could work too...
Maybe your onto it Mark - just to keep us guessing!
