Do you put your Kombi on ramps?

There are a couple of things to be done under the front end, and a pair of ramps would make this a lot easier.

Anything I should know here?
Like "for the love of god, don't put a kombi on ramps!" or "you can, but you need special, expensive OE ramps that are currently out of stock".

Hey Matt, I use ramps all the time !
I bought mine from Autobarn and spent a little more for the better built ones….
As a precaution, I always chock the back wheels even with the bus in gear and handbrake on.
A good pair of ramps, and a level surface to work on makes things a LOT easier…… Wink

Ramps also have a far bigger (and safer) “footprint”, than jack stands.

X10 on ramps. I've used them for almost every vehicle I've owned.

Only thing to watch is the exhaust on some Type IV engines with a standard Ernst muffler (and probably some others) might hit the ramp as you reverse on to them.  Just be aware of it and you will be fine.  At worst you may need to jack that side to get it on the ramp.

Speaking from experience with a number of different sets of ramps and kombis.

I haven’t “hit” (sorry  Big Grin) that problem with mine….type4, Ernst stock setup.
But definitely something to be aware of…..

Being a lowered T3 my problem is I sometimes push them forward. 
I can fix that by chocking them against a nearby wall. 

The bigger problem is I can “lip” over the stop rail and get a bit trapped
