1800 Flyweel.

Hi all,  nice to join you all and share and educate about the amazing Kombi. 
I just bought a 1974 Kombi. Seems it’s an 1800. Was told a new flywheel was installed. 
Been told you can’t buy new 1800 Flywheels. 
Is this true?  Have I been lied to?

You can, but they are lightened 215mm flywheels.

If your seal surface and ring gear isn't bad, just get it refaced.

Are you after one?
I found that my 1600 had a 215mm clutch assembly. So I have flywheel, clutch and pressure plate sitting here that you could have for cheap. (I have 200mm setup on my new engine).
