Finally here at Apex Riverside CVP & score a gorgeous camp site beside the Lachlan River

Saturday we had our photo shoot & Kruise to Parkes to see the dish

Nearly missed this, the Camel Races, we were welcomed warmly by the locals & experienced a totally different style of racing 
   
   
When racing there are no reins to guide the camels, the jockey literally hangs on like a limpet & hopes the camel will go in the right direction

Saturday night Gala Dinner theme "Space"
Phil was quite chuffed at winning best male costume
   
Darth aka Chris & his lovely companion Sharyn 
   
Then Sunday night around the camp drinkies & being serenaded by Andy (Uke baby)
       
I haven't photos unfortunately of the races, here I hope some one else has them saved


Monday was home day, sadly we were strongly advised by other Kombians after the Kruise on the Saturday to not drive BillHily home as he was sick, so we waved goodbye to everyone as they were leaving & waited for BillHily to join the tilt tray club 
   
at least the truck matched
