Oil filter holder thing
#1
Am I the only person that didn’t know about these things?
The only person that burned his hands and arms cause the filter is so bloody close to the exhaust.

Fits both Ryco and Mann

With a short stubby 1/2” drive finally oil changes are easy

I got it from Sparesbox

It’s my 2nd go to after eBay

Just made things so much easier.

I think the Mann is slightly different but seems to work with both

The T3 filter is SO CLOSE to the exhaust you are guaranteed blisters.

Reckon it was designed for being on a hoist.
Not in your carport

NOTHING on a VW is designed to be worked on in a carport, in my experience! Tongue
I do like the concrete to slide my creeper around on, though….

Pretty common these days.
Ryco make them, Supercheap etc sell them individually or in a set. If you buy the set you also get a spanner.

Think that VW Kombi were designed to be serviced in a workshop with a hoist. Access via the rear hatch is too low for driveway work, Adjusting tappets would be a dream with the van on a hoist. Oil change etc. etc. Do not have a hoist!

Been using those for years, they also come in sets to do all sorts of cars.  Just about impossible to get 2005 corolla filter off without these
