This is the original type set up that goes with a standard coupling.

…….and one of the causes of a sloppy gear shift… the screw can slowly work its way out, leaving one side of the selector coupling unsecured……resulting in that  “stirring the porridge” feeling  Tongue
I replaced mine with a high tensile through bolt and nyloc.
Cheers,

When last running fuel gauge was intermittent.
Inspected today, cleaned and adjusted the sweeping contact to ensure firm pressure throughout the sweep.
Now consistently reading 10 ohms when full and 80 ohms when empty om old fashioned multimeter.
Guage will be installed in tank and tank installed in vehicle prior to engine install.

Getting the rebuilt engine ready to go back in...
What do I need to get to fix the bit inside the red circle?
I currently have nothing on mine (this picture is from another thread).

Thanks

Yeah,
It took me a while to figure out which were the correct ones due to conflicting information.
I took a punt at what I thought were correct and as you see from my pic I hit the jackpot.

Sad
Started hooking up the mixture distributor and noticed a small problem connecting to the carburetor. [Image: sad.png]

Rummaged through the 'bits taken off tub' and found this:

Looked inside the brass tube and found this:

Should the tube be blocked?

The connecting pipe (021-129-649) between the air cleaner and the carburetor is missing...
Did a bit of googling and found a thread on Samba showing a Chrysler Hemi (Doorman 46032) emission hose fits.
(Slide the long end over the carbs intake and the short end over the nipple in the air cleaner elbow.)

Looked further down the page and another poster shows how to use a piece of old bicycle inner tube to make the rubber sleeves (021-129-619) to seal the air cleaner ends.

Well I found a connecting pipe (021-129-649) after ordering the emission hose from the USA.
If any one ever needs one, PM me.
