Do you have a 1.9 or a 2.1. 

Only difference is the catalytic converter. 

Anyway…… grab a tennis ball ant stick it over the exhaust pipe. 
Your motor should die. 
I reckon yours will keep running meaning you have leaks. 

Now - you can see the straps holding my muffler.

In the 2nd and 3rd shots you can see the bolt where the bracket bolts to the body.

Not difficult - just access and stuff.
Would be a whole lot easier on a hoist.

The straps are not the best quality
One of the bolt hole bits that are welded on one of mine is starting to seperate.
Not sure why it couldnt just be one piece?

Strap bolts on and no welded bits.
