Solar panel peeling
#1
Hey everyone!!

So out in the kombi to get some things and heard the fridge beeping, which as it turns out is because the deep cycle battery appears to have drained the solar is no charging. It says battery is at zero, health ideal and system idle. I climbed up to have a look around the panel and saw it was peeling. I am not really sure what I am doing, but any ideas as to what is happening here? Is this a sign the panel might be failing? I am not sure how old the system is, asn we have owned the kombi since December with no issues thus far.

Thanks for looking!

I’ll start by saying that I do not know much about solar in/on kombis, other than the panels must have adequate room for cooling…..and yours look almost on top of the pop top.
The panels themselves do not look in good condition at all……could be the result of overheating or just old age.
Hopefully someone with experience will help…… Wink
Cheers,
Mark
