kombi transport interstate - Marlyn - 13-06-2023
My son has blown his motor big time !! Rod through the case.
Kombi is in Melbourne at a friends place .
He is looking for any intel on car transport options to bring kombi back to Newcastle.
The car is movable but not drivable RIP
He has had 1 quote of $2500
Any Ideas who to contact will be greatly appreciated ,
also (looking forward ) we need a 2ltr engine case or complete engine

Try Jay Cee Ess Global, I recently had a vehicle moved from Brisbane to Perth & was seamless... Non driving could be a problem though

Firstly does he have Roadside Assist? We have used them a couple of times Victoria to Northern NSW all covered plus we got a hire car and accommodation as well. 'Pays to belong' as they say.
Otherwise
We just had one transported from Bundaberg to Perth by CEVA buyer paid the $5600 fee.
I think your quote is reasonable.

I've got a good set of cases, new main bearings, torque camshaft (euro) and bearings,
I can build a bottom end or a long engine, but may take some time, also not cheap
Try a second hand engine for economy
