This has a copy of a 1976 Owners Manual – including a fuel log for a trip across the Nullarbor !

I am just curious if there is any more definitive history of E.Sopru & Co Pty Ltd - particularly from the early 1970’s.

There's a little bit of information here in the 1973 section.

And there's probably information here on Facebook although not easy to find unless you like to read for hours:

Thanks Mr Beckstar - Yes the Sopru facebook group has some great photos - A few months ago I came across this post from 2019  - indicating recognition from VW Australia for E Sopru's production of Campmobiles - I guess they made quite a few during their time in business !!

This is from Wheels Magazine April 1976 - listing the companies that did camper conversions in Australia at the time - with prices for the base vehicle and the conversions.
For the Sopru VW conversion Models, the listed price was.. Basic model $1360, Traveler $1962, Deluxe $2,341 and the Wanderer $2380 (with the fixed fiberglass high roof)
