it runs well, only issue is the rear main seal has a leak but with it out this is easy to replace.
anyone interested?
any idea what its worth and were is the best place to advertise it?

I’m a T2 fella, so have no idea but I’m sure Team T3 will see this and add their thoughts soon….
A T3 aircooled 2L will fit into a bay, but some work is needed

some pointers are here

Reckon you "could" get $4k - $5k if you could find the right person, otherwise a significant reduction in price needed for moving it quickly

thanks, i might put it on gumtree for 3K and see what comes of it. not chasing big $$, nor do i want it hanging around in the shed for to long.
have to say, its the easiest motor removal I've ever done, love the 4 easy to access bolts that hold it to the bell housing!

If that’s your plan, why not change your first post by deleting the “any idea what it’s worth”, and put a $2800 price instead, and offer it up to KCA members first for a week, (the “For sale” forums are only visible to members for this very reason), and then if there’s no nibbles, put it out to the wider Gumtree hagglers after that?   Rolleyes

With a sale price, a mod can then move this thread back to the “For Sale” forum…… Wink
Mmmmm, an electric '82.  How about a new thread documenting the conversion?
