Finally went to Five Rocks in the Syncro. Was speaking with a guy who went up recently in his T2, so I thought that I should be able to as well.
The car went very well. Tyres are too big with some rubbing over bigger drops. Might look at new shocks.
First nights camp was near the beach. Second night up at the campground near the village.

Looking at the receipts from the previous owner the Sachs aren't that old.

Koni's are adjustable and can be serviced, not cheap but you get what you pay for, I run them on my Bay camper and 66 beetle. Great handling especially on the camper, sits nice in a side wind, from memory 5 adustment levels hard to soft. I run mine about setting 4 hard.
I checked the Koni site and not available for the syncro.
Love it...your syncro looks awesome and the soft sand tracks look like a fun challenge.
Another spot to check out on the bucket list.
Looks very quiet there too.
