My Bay

So…… my eBay stickers fade within 12 months.
And I bought the dear ones ….. 350 for $10

I did buy some clear UV paint this time.

(Kamei) Spoilers?
Does anyone run one?

Anyway - a mate of mine makes them and gave me one for a Xmas present the other day (a few years ago? Surely not?)
Finally got around to putting it on today.
Bugger of a job for me - still getting use to bays. took a while to work out how easy the rubber strip comes off. Much easier than late beetles.
Then the 4 bolts were completely rusted. 2 had to be drilled and ground.
Finally got it on.

Good day for a test here in Sydney.
25km/hr winds with 52km gusts.
I live near the Gladesville Bridge made for a good testing ground

Have to say it does make a difference.
No where near as much wandering.
Tomorrow will be a good test.
Going for a drive up to Belmont (near Newcastle) so it will get a good blast up the freeway. A couple of “high wind areas” to go through.

Don’t think it’s too ugly.

Give an update tomorrow

On the downside, I found where that goose hit me the other day.
There is a dent hiding under the rubber strip on the passenger side of the bumper bar.
Goes all the way through to the deformation panel.
Just another battle scar I suppose.
Took me 6 months to find it so I should just forget about it.

You’ll also have to revise your driving, to allow for less clearance below…….so the spoiler stays where you put it.  Rolleyes

Looks really good!

Well - went for a blast up to Belmont yesterday and it sat beautifully.
The wind was worse than Tuesday.
The only buffeting was when a truck decided to pass me as I was cruising at ~ 100
Going over the Big Dipper at Mooney Mooney bridge was a one handed affair.

Decided to leave it on for a while longer as it definitely makes a difference.
