Fuel Hose - syncro - 17-04-2023

What are people using for fuel hose now? 5,5mm.

The only stuff I can find is Cohline. Has anyone had any issues with this.

I use 5.6mm fuel injection hose

I buy it from advanced fluid solutions (aka siicone hose world on ebay)

That really is a dodgy ad. Is it 5.6mm or 6mm or 1/4"?

RE: Fuel Hose - Tintop - 17-04-2023

yeah, trying to catch lots of people with lots of keywords on ebay i think (but if you go into the description it's 5.6mm)

or just go straight to advanced fluid solutions site

C’mon Phill, they are all “within an inch”, so should be “good enough for the Australian bush”…..  Tongue

But yes I agree, tis’ not good to advertise a product with a size range of 5.6 to 6.35mm (1/4”).  Dodgy

I wouldn't be happy if I bought it and it was 6.35mm. I could just do the butcher thing and screw the clamp up to stop it leaking.

Could be worse. Like having a 6.35 fitting, and trying to get a 5.6mm hose to force onto it.

Either way, it is better to advertise the ACTUAL size of the hose, to purchase for that perfect fit….  Wink

I think Patrick has your answer above ^^^^^

Previous owner had the fuel hose rubbing on the cv joint due to inappropriate mounting of a fuel filter.

The brake hose was worse. It's a bit of a worry picking up an unknown 48 year old car and driving it home from Albury.

Always a worry adopting one, with unknown history, of use and abuse, like my T3SC. But it gets better and more reliable, the more you find and replace.

I’ve still got the other T3 here, like you did, that came with that “new car smell”, and know everything about its history.
