Australian Bus overseas - YellowBus - 25-02-2023

Hi. My 1976 2 litre Kombi with EFI is now living overseas. After a local mechanic changed the spark plugs and adjusted the timing she is not running quite so smoothly. Does anyone know if an engine with Electronic Fuel Injection requires a specific type of spark plugs? Any recommendations?

When you say “electronic fuel injection” do you mean it is “after market”
I wouldn’t call the stock fuel injection “electronic”

If the bus has something new it “could” need a specific spark plug, but you would need to contact the provider, or tell us what exactly it is.

If it is the standard set up, there is nothing special other than a correct for kombi spark plug.
I would be more looking at the timing

'76 L-Jetronic is EFI as it has electronic control and electrical injectors. K-Jetronic (as on Golf GTI) is not electronic.
